Chain + Metals
We use a variety of metals but all are hypoallergenic; lead and nickel free. A brief description of each is below.
Antique Brass / Bronze - Bronze is a metal alloy made of copper and zinc and will gradually acquire a brownish patina.
Copper - A red-brown metal, the chemical element of atomic number 29. Pennies are made of copper.
Gunmetal - A dark silver-gray, corrosion-resistant form of bronze containing zinc, formerly used for making guns and cannons.
Silver-plated Brass - Is a thick coating of sterling silver over brass. There is a strong bond and the silver will not flake off.
Tibetan Silver - It is similar to pewter, an alloy of copper with a small percentage of pure silver. Its overall appearance is of aged silver, but it can be polished to provide highlights on complex castings. Most of all our charms are made of this.
Enamel - Charms made of metal that have been painted with fire resistant paint. The enameling process used to create these charms makes them maintain their color, shine, and vibrancy for a very long time.
If you have an allergy or sensitivity to the metals we use please contact us and we'll work something out.
